Pinsperation: Food Edition #1

Pinterest, oh how I love thee, let me count the ways... Or maybe let me count the pounds! This site freaking bombards your senses with gorgeous pictures of delectable treats and mouth watering food ideas. I've recently thought that I need to add more boards since my "Food" Pin Board is overflowing! I need to have a board for Drinks, Desserts, Appetizers, Main Dishes, Kids Food, Breakfast, Breads... you get the idea. However, that would take time, and right now I don't have much to spare! :)

I have made SO many recipes from blogs and sites that I found through Pinterest. I will share some of my faves here with you! I am also including a couple of other recipes that we make and I didn't get off of Pinterest, but they are pin-worthy and more than likely are on there somewhere!

This will be a recurring post with multiple editions. I take so many pictures of our cooking, it is silly. I can't possibly include them all in one post and as the days go on I keep trying more recipes! I'm addicted, what can I say?!

1. Hot Dog Noodles
(I had as much fun with this, both making and eating it, as the kids did!)

We have a bit of a problem. They always get ON the counter... this will be a hard habit to break, methinks! This is Mr. Ben thoroughly enjoying his crackers.

Cut your weiners. LOL.

Poke your weiners. LOL again. No, seriously poke the dry spaghetti noodles through the bits of hot dog. Be vewwy vewwy careful! Those noodles are fragile little suckers!

On her own, Brooke said she wanted to make a special one just for Benjamin. So, she set about doing this and used all of the broken bits. She tried to put long noodles in, but a 3 year old doesn't have the finesse of an adult, so they kept breaking! She didn't care though and made good use of those little bits!

When she was done, she "painted" it. With air. Nothing was on the brush. *shrugs shoulders*

Super awesome. (And super cute there on the right).

I set the water to boil before I started and it was ready by the time we had all of our noodles poked into our  hot dogs.

Brooke's special piece! <3 it!

Cook noodles until done and then drain.

YES, this looks weird, but it is SO fun, the kids will love it, and it is very very tasty! We didn't use ketchup or anything. I did use the Angus, nitrate-free hot dogs though. They are delish!

Have FUN!

She re-arranged the breakfast nook furniture while I was cleaning up. Can you tell she was proud?! Can you also tell that NONE of those chairs match?! Oy!!! (embarassing!).

We LOVE these! I love that Pillsbury makes egg and dairy-free biscuits (and pizza dough, and french bread) so that Benjamin can enjoy these (when I use his special "butter").
Oh and I always do one can at at time in the bag and use the amount of sugar/cinnamon they suggest for EACH can (thus doubling those amounts in the end- did that make sense?)

The two with toothpicks in them are Ben's. I just dollped a little of his Earth's Balance "butter" in there and added some brown sugar. Worked like a charm!

Again... with the counter! I LOVE that the Learning Tower gets them to counter height, but don't love that they are monkeys and use it as a step stool to get ON the counter!

Yum. For realz.
That is all I have for now. More tomorrow.
